Fragments of banked field boundaries are visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of North Egliston. They are partially marked on the OS 1st edition map and are considered to be medieval or post medieval in origin(1). Faint traces are still visible as earthworks on the most recent Google Earth imagery. The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck NMP.
