A disused pit is marked at this location of the OS 1:10,000 scale map. Two post medieval extractive pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1970. (1). The largest is still visible on recent Google Earth imagery, it was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
