Full Description
Four rounded hollows are visible as a low earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1970 to the south of Drove Dairy, Winfrith Newburgh (1). They are considered likely to be the sites of a post medieval extractive pits. The features have since been plough-levelled and are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on recent Google Earth imagery. They were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
