Full Description
Medieval or post medieval trackways are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s on Chaldon Down, Chaldon Herring. The trackways are formed of narrow linear ditches, oriented north-south. They are visible over an area measuring approximately 340 m by 150 m. (1) The trackways are not visible on aerial photographs of 2009. (2) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
