Full Description
A large sub-circular pond is shown on the tithe map (1), approached by a track from the E-W route now known as the Priest's Way and from Durnfold Drove to the N. These links suggest that it may been used for watering livestock moving along these routes onto or across the downs. The 1st edn OS 25in map (1889) (2) shows a barn complex, Spyway Barn, constructed beside it.
