Summary

A church at Chaddesley Glen, Canford Cliffs, is shown on OS mapping of the 1920s. A wooden church was built here in 1911 as a daughter church for the parish of St Peter; this temporary church was known locally as The Church in the Glen. The foundation stone for the present church was laid in November 1962 and the new church was built around the supporting roof beams of the old one, to a design by local architect Lionel Gregory.

A church is shown on the 3rd edn OS 1:2500 map (1925) (1). Later mapping identifies it as the Church of England Church of the Transfiguration (2). A building is extant on the site (3).
