Full Description

Several large buildings with sidings and a link to the Hamworthy railway branch was marked 'Engineering Works (Disused)' on the OS 3rd edn 1:2500 map (1925) (1). The site had not been developed at the time of the 2nd edn (1901) (2). The 4th edn map (1937) (3) showed most of the complex removed and a works to the E beside the railway. By the mid 1950s (4) the site had been redeveloped for housing.
