Full Description

The OS 2nd edn 25in map (1898) (1) shows a convent in extensive ornamental grounds at Parkwood Road, Pokesdown. It may have been associated with the adjacent Roman Catholic church and school. The 3rd edn map (1909) (2) showed a substantial extension to the building to the SE, including a chapel. The buildings are extant and now house a college.
