Full Description

A walled garden with orchard trees is shown on the OS 1st edn 25in map (1870) (1). It was probably associated with a large house named Stourwood which lay about 100m to the SE. The 3rd edn map (1909) (2) showed that the walled garden had been demolished and the site incorporated into the large rear garden of a new building shown as Winsley House. The area has subsequently been redeveloped for housing.
