Full Description

A circular pit is shown on the OS 1st edn 25in map (1871) (1) and marked 'Ice House'. It was located on the N side of the lane passing through Mudeford and may have been associated with one of the large shore-side houses nearby. The site was shown with a different structure on it on the 2nd edn map (1898) (2) and has now lies within the garden of a house.
