Full Description
The OS 1st edn 25in map (1871) shows a ford crossing a tidal channel on the W side of the River Avon on the area of low-lying land known as Millhams. The ford presumably gave access to grazing alongside the river or to the river bank itself for other purposes. The ford is again shown on the OS 2nd edn (1898) (2) but the 3rd edn map (1909) (3) indicates that the tidal channel it had crossed was no longer extant.
