Summary

A linear cropmark visible as a dark line on aerial photographs dated 2005, and interpreted as a probable ditch. The linear ditched feature is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM. It is double-ditched at its eastern end and runs immediately to the north of the Winterborne Kingstone barrow group. It is conidered likely to be a trackway or boundary ditch of uncertain date.

Full Description

Linear boundary ditch. The feature is visible for a distance of at least c640 metres and appears to respect or enclose the Winterborne Kingston barrow group.

The linear ditched feature is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM, <2-3>. It is double-ditched at its eastern end and runs immediately to the north of the Winterborne Kingstone barrow group. It is considered likely to be a trackway or boundary ditch of uncertain date.
