Listed Building record MDO37167 - Blackwater Farmhouse, Bourton

A farmhouse with a stone inscribed ‘R P 1738’ set into the north gable wall. The building has walls covered in render, a slate-covered roof, and a later brick porch.

Note discrepancy between NGR in list description and RCHME Inventory entry. Needs checking on the ground.

‘(26) BLACKWATER FARM (76442925), house, is two-storeyed and has rendered walls and a slated roof. The symmetrical E. front is of two bays with a central doorway and with casement windows in each storey; to the S. is an added bay. The N. gable has a date-stone inscribed 'RP 1738', probably the date of the house.’
