Full Description
A small undated pit (22002) was identified in evaluation Trench 22 of the archaeological evaluation of the Corfe Mullen to Salisbury Water Transfer Scheme route. This pit was sub-circular about 1.5m in diameter and 0.55m deep with a rather irregular profile. A small quantity of worked flint was recovered from its fill. [1]
This pit approximately correlated to the location of a discrete anomaly identified by geophysical survey (Anomaly 212). [2]
