Summary

A medieval or later lynchet, possibly a field boundary, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north of Beerland Farm, Ryall. It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

SY 407 955. Fragmentary strip lynchets occur to the North of Beerlands Farm. <1>

A medieval or later lynchet, possibly a field boundary, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north of Beerland Farm, Ryall <2>. It runs for 320m along the contour across two modern fields in a roughly SW-NE direction. It is partially still visible as an extant feature in the landscape on Google earth imagery and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
