Full Description
A hollow, 28m across, is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of Marshwood Cross (1). It is marked as Old Chalk Pit on the OS 1st edition map and is considered to be an extractive pit of post medieval origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
