Summary

A cottage built in the 17th century, extended to the south in the 18th century and with a 19th-century outbuilding. The walls of the building are of coursed rubble, while the outbuilding is of brick, with thatched and tiled roofs. Surviving features of the interior are reported to include a fireplace, 18th-century doors, and a wooden stair.

ST 77253069. Sandway House. 2 storeyed has rendered walls and tiled mansard roofs; said to date from 1795. <1>

'(17) Cottages (77243071), two adjacent, have walls of coursed rubble, and thatched roofs. Originally single-storeyed with dormer-windowed attics, they have recently been heightened to make two storeys and they have also been combined as one dwelling. The building appears to be of 18th-century origin.'
