Full Description
A series of linear ditched features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs in the vicinity of Monkton Wyld (1). They are considered likely to be of post medieval origin, probably field boundaries, drainage ditches and trackways. The features cover an area of 6-7 hectares and have partially been obscured by the modern plantation of Monkton Wyld Wood on the most recent Google Earth imagery but may still be extant. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
