Full Description
Post medieval extractive pits to the south of Specket Lane, Temple Farm, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). They are shown on the OS 1st Edition historic mapping as sand pits. The site is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
