The site of a small post medieval extractive pit (20m across) is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Stubb's Farm Cottages (1). The feature was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. It is still visible as an earthwork under scrub vegetation on Google Earth imagery (2).
