Full Description
A unit of probable post medieval narrow ridge and furrow to the northeast of Blackdown House, Broadwindsor, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in the 1970s (1). The narrow ridges align east to west within an enclosure of probable medieval origin. Their narrow form suggests a probable post medieval origin, although an earlier date is also possible. The site is no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
