Full Description
A bank and ditched linear feature is visble as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 to the south of Lambert's Castle hillfort (1). The feature is 36m long and appears to be cut by a modern trackway. It is possibly a medieval or later field boundary but may alternatively be an outwork associated with the Iron Age hillfort. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The feature is no longer visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery and may have since been levelled.
