Summary
A large hollow, 72m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north west of Bucklands Farm. It is marked as Old Clay Pit on the OS 1st edition map and considered likely to be a post medieval extractive pit. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description
A large hollow, 72m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north west of Bucklands Farm (1). It is marked as Old Clay Pit on the OS 1st edition map and considered likely to be a post medieval extractive pit. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP, it is still an extant feature and is visible on lidar imagery (2).
