Summary

A small hollow, 18m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the south east of Keepers Cottage Planation. It is marked on the OS 1st edition map and are considered likely to be an post medieval extractive pit or dewpond. The feature was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

A small hollow, 18m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the south east of Keepers Cottage Planation (1). It is marked on the OS 1st edition map (2) and is considered likely to be an post medieval extractive pit or dewpond. The feature has been plough-levelled and visible as cropmarks on Google Earth imagery (3). It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
