Full Description
A series of linear scarps, possibly forming a field boundary and cultivation terrace of medieval or post medieval origin, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948, to the south east of Pitt Farm, Whitchurch Canonicorum (1). The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. They are still visible as extant scarps on recent Google Earth imagery (2).
