Full Description
A small post medieval extractive pit to the south of Spring House, Broadwindsor, is visible as a narrow earthwork around 43m long on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and 1970s (2). The site borders a historic field boundary, now removed , but is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
