Full Description
A series of three large hollows are visible earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1971 on the east bank of the River Synderford at Wetwood Coppice (1). The features are possibly the result of post medieval extraction although a natural origin cannot be ruled out. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP, they are still visible as extant earthworks on lidar imagery (2)
