Full Description
A linear banked feature is visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in the field to the south of Halcombe (1). It crosses the field on the line of the parish boundary between Thorncombe and Broadwindsor as marked on the OS 1st edition map (2). It is therefore considered likely to be of medieval origin relating to the marking out of the parish boundary. It was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
