Monument record MDO3909 - Bronze Age occupation, Chantry Fields, Gillingham

Evidence for Bronze Age occupation was discovered during excavations in 1995-1996 at Chantry Fields prior to the development of the site for housing.

'The most significant find of the present investigations in the west of Chantry Fields was the recovery of a small quantity of Bronze Age (2,000 - 700 BC) pottery from features in the south-west of the site. Material from this period has not previously been identified from work in Chantry Fields.'
