Full Description
Gravel pit shown on the 1st epoch Ordnance Survey map [1]. The feature is visible as an earthwork on a 1946 aerial photograph, where it appears much extended, with a trackway accessing into it from the road to the north [2]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
