The probable sites of three Second World War bomb impact craters are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 in the vicinity of what is now The Glade, Ashley Heath (1). The curvilinear features were 6m across with rays of ejected material visible, they were destroyed by modern housing by 1962 (2-3). The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
