Full Description
A system of post medieval drainage ditches and leats is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs dating to 1946 along the River Crane to the west of Gotham (1). Several leats are marked in this location on the OS 1st edition map. The features are considered to be the remains of a water meadow or drainage system, they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. They are still extant or under scrub (2).
