Full Description

A series of long fields containing earthworks of post medieval narrow ridge and furrow cultivation marks are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1945 near Horton Common, Three Legged Cross (1). They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The site had been partially plough-levelled by 1981 (2) but the north-eastern portion of the site remained extant until 2005 (2). Site completely under plough and not visible in 2014/5 (3-4).
