Full Description
A series of ditched trackways are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 running roughly east-west across Horton Common for a distance of 375m (1). The features are considered to be medieval or later in date, they cut across the extensive trackway system described in MDO39830 and appear to predate the Salisbury and Dorset Junction Railway. They are still partially extant and visible on lidar imagery (2) and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
