Full Description
A cluster of sub-circular ditched features visible as cropmarks in a field to the northeast of Amen Corner, Gussage All Saints, on a 2005 aerial photograph may be associated with historic marl pits, possibly of medieval or post medieval origin (1). Alternatively it is possible that they are older features associated with Iron Age to Romano-British settlement activity (MDO32395 and 32402) to the north.
The features are located within a modern cropping field and may be vulnerable to ploughing. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
