Full Description
A linear hollow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 running roughly east-west across Horton Common (1). The feature is 35m long and between 2.5 and 3m wide; it is considered likely to be an extractive feature. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The site is not vsible on recent vertical photographs being under tree-cover, it is presumed levelled however as it is also not visible on lidar imagery (2).
