Full Description
A series of banked linear features at Knowlton are visible on current Lidar imagery (1).
The linears run parallel and perpendiular to each other on a broadly southwest to northeast alignment and are presumed to represent a field system of possible prehistoric origin, although a later date is also possible. The field system is almost certainly part of a wider contemporary field system extending to the north and west (MDO40157 and MDO40151).
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
