The probable site of a post medieval extractive pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 to the north east of Old Dwon Cottages, Woodlands. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

The site is visible as low earthworks under plough on later aerial photogrtaphs and lidar imagery (2-3); it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
