Full Description
The cropmark of a probable Bronze Age ring ditch can be seen on HE Reconnaissance aerial photographs taken in 2010. This large ring ditch is situated to the west of The Drive Plantation at SU 0459 1175.
A large sub-circular ring-ditch on the south side of the Drive Plantation, St Giles's Park, is visible as a cropmark on a 1989 aerial photograph <1>. The feature is 30.6m in diameter with a 2m wide outer ditch and is presumed to represent a Bronze Age barrow. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
