A small sub-circular feature in fields to the east of Burton is visible on a 1940s aerial photograph (1). The feature is considered to be a possible post medieval dewpond or extractive pit.

The feature is faintly visible as a cropmark on current Google Earth imagery. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
