Full Description
Two ditched linear features in a field to the north of Stone Park House are visible on 1940s and 1950s aerial photographs (1 and 2).
The features are broadly narrow and regular in form and are presumed to be historic field boundaries of possible post medieval date, although an earlier origin is also possible. The southernmost of the two features corresponds with a dotted fiedl boundary on the OS 1st Edition map, suggesting it was already going out of use by the late 19th century (2).
The site is a sports field on current Google Earth imagery. Only the northernmost of the two features is stil visible.
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
