Summary

Bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the fields to the east of Crichel Lake, Moor Crichel. The boundaries are considered to be of medieval or post medieval date, probably pre-dating the creation of the lake and landscape park associated with Crichel House. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

Bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the fields to the east of Crichel Lake, Moor Crichel (1). The boundaries are considered to be of medieval or post medieval date, probably pre-dating the creation of the lake and landscape park associated with Crichel House. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
