Full Description
Ditched linear features in fields to the east of Pilford, Colehill, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise narrow and closely parallel ditches and may be trackways of post medieval date, possibly relict features from an area of former heathland. The definition of these features is poor, however, and they may alternatively be natural in origin.
The features are within still open fields on current Google Earth imagery but are not visible. Theywere digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
