Full Description

A rectangular walled structure in a field to the west of Wilksworth Farm is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The feature is 33m long by 24m wide, roofless and with 1m thick walls. A 6.5m by 3.5m roofed extension is centred against its northeast side.

The feature is presumed to be a probable walled garden; most likely post medieval in date but as it is not recorded on the OS 1st Edition map it may post date the c1880s when the map was produced, making it potentially late 19th to early 20th century in origin (2).

The site is a caravan site on current Google Earth imagery and the feature is no longer extant. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
