Full Description

'The Barn, some 60 yds. E. of the house, has walls of rubble and of brick, and a thatched roof. The rubble occurs at the base of the walls in the N. part of the building and is probably of the 17th century ; the brickwork represents 18th-century rebuilding. At intervals the walls are strengthened with brick buttressess. The roof rests on crude tie-beam trusses, strutted in some places with rough hammer-beams below.' [1]
