Full Description
Ditched linear features to the west of Holt Forest Farm are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features are narrow and rectilinear in form and sub-divide an irregular historic enclosure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2). They are presumed to be field boundaries of probable post medieval to early 20th century origin.
The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery but with significant historic boundary removal since 1947 (1). The features are still faintly visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
