Summary

A ditched linear feature in a field to the northeast of Pig Oak is visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The feature is presumed to be a historic field boundary of probable post medieval to early twentieth century date. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

A ditched linear feature in a field to the northeast of Pig Oak is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The feature is narrow and rectilinear in form and is presumed to be a historic field boundary of probable post medieval to early twentieth century date.

The site is still fields on current Google Earth imagery although the feature is no longer visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
