Full Description
A large irregular scarped depression to the west of Woodcutts Farm is visible on current Lidar imagery (1).
The feature is up to 126m long by up to 92m wide. It underlies a historic field boundary recorded on the OS 1st Edition map; the regular rectilinear form of this boundary indicates a probable post medieval origin (2).
The form of the feature suggests a possible post medieval extractive pit.
The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
