Full Description
A line of anti tank cubes at East Brook, Wimborne Minster, is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features are positioned on the southwest side of an area of open ground adjacent to the River Allen, forming a 71m long defensive line between the back line of houses and plots off Crown Mead and Park Lane. The features may be part of a wartime defence line around Wimborne Minster ; additional rows of anti tank cubes are visible on 1940s aerial photographs to the west, north and southeast (see MDOs 41027, 41028 and 41030-33.).
The site is still open ground and recreation ground on current Google Earth imagery but the features are no longer visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
