Full Description

Ditched linear features to the west of Canford Bridge are visible on aerial photographs (1).

The features are narrow and retilinear in form and comprise a number of longer ditched linears with shorter linears offsetting these. The linears link between tributaries of the River Allen where these meet with the main Stour river channel.

The features are presumed to be part of a post medieval drainage system.

The site is still open ground on current Google Earth imagery and the features are still visible. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
